- Summary
- GRP94 is an inducible resident endoplasmic reticulum/sarcoplasmic reticulum glycoprotein that functions as a protein chaperone and calcium regulator. This protein is upregulated when a cell is under stress, can be present on the cell surface under certain conditions and has been shown to act as a receptacle for cell surface antigens. Collaborators at Wayne State
University and Indiana University have cloned the canine GRP94 gene into a baculovirus under the control of the polyhedron promoter. This recombinant baculovirus can be used to produce significant quantities of the canine GRP94 protein in insect cells. Available non-exclusively.
